When we moved into our first house from NYC, it was a bit of a fixer-upper, and all I could do was picture exactly how it could work for our soon-to-be-family-of-three.

After I had our daughter in 2016, I have to admit; I had lost myself. I lost myself in all of the diaper changing, naps, feeding, end-of-napping, nursery school, the start of pre-k, and all that happened in-between.

In my pre-mom life, I had spent years building up my interior design and furniture sourcing business and was, by all accounts, my own person.

I am, by nature, a maker, and a doer. So, to find me, I needed to do what I love to do: create a space where love, communication, and creativity can flourish.

House of Herz is a rediscovery of myself and the unearthing of the beauty we saw in this place.
